There are different ways to propagate roses, but the glass of water method is definitely the best one you can use.

The worst thing that can happen after receiving a beautiful bouquet of roses is the flowers wilting quickly .
To avoid this disappointment, there is a solution: propagate roses ! You can easily do this at home by taking a rose cutting from purchased flowers or an existing plant.
However, there are several methods of propagating roses beyond cuttings , one of which is very effective. But let’s take it one at a time.
In addition to its well-known therapeutic properties , aloe also serves as an excellent fertilizer and organic rooting agent. Dip rose cuttings in aloe gel to encourage fast and healthy root growth.

To propagate a cut rose , first cut it just below the flower with scissors. Next, measure five nodes down and cut diagonally below the fifth.
The angled cut improves the plant’s ability to root compared to a conventional straight cut.
To extract the pulp of aloe vera , first pick a leaf from the plant. Then cut off both ends and carefully cut through the middle. Extract and collect all the pulp.
Using a hand blender, puree the pulp until smooth and pour into a glass.
Then dip the first rose cutting into the pulp and leave it to rest for five days. Then plant the cutting in high-quality peat. Do not throw away the remaining juice, but use it as a spray.
How to Propagate Roses Using These Two Other Methods
To propagate a rose, we can take a cutting and combine it with an aloe vera cutting. After cutting off the top and bottom, insert the rose cutting directly into the aloe vera cutting.

Next, we take a glass and make a layer of expanded clay and soil.
We place the cutting inside and cover it with more soil until only the upper part of the aloe cutting is visible.
The aloe acts as a container and prevents the medium from absorbing too much liquid from the gel surrounding the cutting.
This will encourage the rose to develop roots. New shoots should appear within a few weeks.
To hydrate the cutting we can use a spray bottle filled with water.
To propagate the plant by cutting, first cut a plastic bottle in half and use an awl to poke small holes in the bottom.
Then mix high-quality expanded clay and peat and fill the bottle halfway. After sprinkling generously, allow the mixture to drain a little.
Take a cutting with at least 3 or 4 buds and remove most of the leaves with a pair of garden shears. Place the cutting in the soil and cover it with the other half of the bottle to keep the area moist until it has taken root.
To ensure proper growth, the soil must have a moisture content that is neither too wet nor too dry.

Avoid direct sunlight and opt for a cool, shady outdoor area instead.
The third and best method
The third and final method of propagating roses is to clean a branch and place it in a bottle cut in half and filled with water.
To give perfume, it is recommended to add a few drops of essential oil to the water. After a week, the branch will begin to sprout .
