How to grow lemon at home? It may seem difficult, in reality you just need to use a squeezed fruit and take the seeds. At this point it is enough to follow a few simple steps and after a short time we will see how our lemon seedling begins to sprout. The result will leave us very satisfied!

To grow a lemon plant at home, you don’t need to have any special skills or an incredibly developed green thumb. But then someone might ask: But where do I get lemon seeds? But did you know that to plant your endless supply in the house of lemon seedlings, you only need… The squeezed fruit? Don’t throw it away after use.

After using the lemon to flavor a dish or prepare a thirst-quenching drink, do not throw away the peel full of seeds! Take the latter and rinse them in a sieve under running water. During this action, be careful to remove as much pulp as possible around the seed. Then place them in a glass of water and remove the seeds that remain above water, these will not give a new seedling. Then place them on a sheet of absorbent paper and pat them to dry completely.

At this point, after the necessary time, remove from each seed the skin that covers it. Then put them back in water and let them soak for 2 days. Then prepare the glass and put first a layer of clay and then universal soil. At this point we can place the seed horizontally and then sink it with the finger about 1 cm and cover it with more soil.

We moisten the pot abundantly and wait for the new seedling to be born, it will take about 10 days or a couple of weeks at most after planting the seed. Let’s remember to keep the glass or indoors if it is winter or early spring, or outside in a place that is neither too sunny nor too shady, or even in a small greenhouse. With this simple and fast method we were able to give life to a small lemon plant in our house literally at no cost and hours … We just have to wait for it to grow to see the fruits!
