When it blooms, the plant needs special care to ensure it grows healthy and strong.
The lemon plant produces very fragrant white flowers , from which then obviously emerge its much appreciated fruits: lemons, to be precise.
When it begins to flower, the plant is in a very delicate phase and for this reason it needs care so that flowering is prolonged and successful.
Let’s see what we can do at this moment.
- Water : It is very important to give water to the plants, but in the case of flowering lemons, you must pay attention to the dosage: make sure that at least 4 cm of the surrounding soil is well dried before watering. On the other hand, if the lemon is in pots, you can water it more frequently.
- Light : The lemon plant needs a lot of light to grow healthy and lush. For this reason, especially in pots, expose it to direct light from the beginning of spring.
- Fertilizers: To develop new flowers, the plant needs nutrients. These can be supplemented with natural fertilizers, especially if the plant is grown in pots.
